Trade Promotion
AfBBA has undertaking a number of activities to corporate bodies States and Governments, from providing assistance in the formulation and planning trade policies to the full implementation of trade and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) strategies.
(i) Policy Formulation & planning of Trade & Investment Activities
In many of the successful emerging economies, it is recognised that the promotion State and country’s activities and attributes, part of the essential tools required to attract vital foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and sell goods and services, because of the increasingly fierce competition for the available global investments; only economies with proactive strategies in place succeed in attracting both local and internal investments required, for development and sustenance. AfBBA provides comprehensive assistance in identifying the strengths and weakness of their products and formulate appropriate policies to address the problems effectively, as well as take full advantage of favourable conditions.
(ii) Promotion of Corporate & State Trade & Investment activities
Further, AfBBA can assist Governments and states, to build relationships and could represent country at desired locations, through our contacts with both relevant political and economic channels, as well as with the private sector locally or national, vital to strengthening long term and successful relationships.
(iii) Event Organising
The African British Business Association recognizes that a good networking of businesses at local, national and international levels will undoubtedly enhance the regeneration of the markets in which it engages itself; as such AfBBA has concentrated its effort in forming good ties with all types of businesses and stakeholders in two regions.
AfBBA has gained considerable experience in planning and delivering high quality events of all sorts as well as being capable with our partners of hosting network events on Exhibitions, Conferences and Seminars.
Notably, AfBBA have hosted a number of African countries at the Royal Show 2004, held in July 2004 and 2005 at The National Agricultural Park, Stoneleigh Park in Coventry, Warwickshire. We have also assisted businesses and organisations in participating and attending other events taking place in the United Kingdom from various African countries.
(iv) Trade Missions and Trade Visits
For most businesses in the thriving economies, trade missions and scoping missions form an integral part of their overall trade promotion strategy, it is seen as a means generating new business opportunities as well as strengthening trade ties with other markets in other countries.
Overall, trade missions allow relationships to form at levels business-to- business, sector-to-sector and region-to-region vital for development and growth in any economy. We are able to assist in turning these aspirations into reality.
We have a good track record of promoting inward trade mission to the United Kingdom, as well as outwards to the traditional, new and emerging markets -Inward Missions and Outward Missions.
With an extensive network of contacts in various industries and Government organisations, AfBBA is able to organise site visits to UK companies and educational institutions and other bodies of interest to African companies, Embassies, Governments, trade associations and approved Development bodies.
