• We stablished the ‘African Village’ at the Royal Agricultural Show’ in 2004, to enable wider participation of African countries at the event.
• Launched the ‘Anglo Africa Organic seminar at the Royal Show.
• Established strong contacts with some African Diplomatic missions in the UK and have assisted many in engaging with the UK trade associations and businesses.
• AfBBA has hosted trade missions and official visits from various African countries.
• Participated in various economic conferences/summits in the UK, Africa & China.
• Facilitated contact between the Ugandan Government and African Asian Diaspora in the East midlands, which led to visits from Ugandan government ministers and Presidency and fostering stronger ties between the two regions.
• Contributed to the debate on the Commission for Africa’s report.
• Lobbied Parliamentarians and other development agencies on issues relating to Africa.
• Prepared proposals a number of projects for various African countries.
• AfBBA facilitated contacts between businesses, regional governments & trade bodies in the UK and African countries.
